Pre-Requisites

Three-phase circuits, electromechanical energy conversion, theory of synchronous machines, DC machines and induction machines, circuit representations of transformers and transmission lines, computer programming ability with Matlab.

Structure: 

Three 50 minute lectures per week. No labs. Homework assigned weekly. Typically have two 50 minute exams and one 2-hour final. Computer usage would include MATLAB assignments, fault calculations, and relay characteristics using ASPEN OneLiner.
