Circuit analysis including DC, AC, and transient analysis; Calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations.

Class Information
Structure: 

One 50-minute lecture per week. Two three-hour labs per week. No final. One design project. Lab notebooks and reports.

Topics: 
  • Laboratory and equipment familiarization. (7 hours)
  • Operational amplifiers - characteristics and filters. (14 hours)
  • Diode characteristics, PSPICE, and circuits. (14 hours)
  • BJT characteristics, model and circuits. (14 hours)
  • MOSFET characteristics and circuits. (21 hours)
  • Circuit analysis: steady state and transient behavior of RLC networks, frequency response, harmonic analysis. (14 hours)
  • Design project. (21 hours)
