Face to Face Advising
Summary of Steps for Students
- Show up for your appointment and be on time! If you miss an advising appointment you will not be permitted to schedule another appointment until after Thanksgiving.
- Look at the schedule of classes for your degree program and plan your next semester prior to your advising appointment.
- Look at your Student Academic Requirements Report (SARS) and make sure that it accurately reflects all of the courses that you’ve taken and are currently enrolled in.
- Make sure you have the prerequisites for any courses you are planning to take.
Online Schedule Planning (Advising)
Follow this link to plan your classes for the upcoming semester (formerly known as Email Advising). This will meet your advising requirement for the semester and you will be able to get your Undergrad Advising Hold removed* without leaving the comfort of your domicile. Plan accordingly as this may take a little more time (based on our workload-it may be up to two weeks before your hold is released).
*Remember there is an additional requirement of meeting with your faculty mentor once a year (A-L meets with faculty mentor in the Fall, and M-Z meets in the Spring)
